Course Descriptions
NEW Mandatory Core Course- “Legal Hot Tips” – 4hr
Introducing “Legal Hot Tips,” a new 4-hour Core Course required by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. Designed to keep you up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations, this course is essential for all real estate agents and must be completed every two years. Don’t miss this opportunity to ensure you’re fully compliant with SC Real Estate Commission requirements —stay informed, stay compliant, and continue to excel in your profession. Enroll today!
BIC Update Course- 4 hrs
The BIC UPDATE Course is REQUIRED as of 2017 for all licensees holding a SC Broker in Charge license. This 4 hour MANDATORY course is required biennially along with the Mandatory Core Course. The course highlights the general requirements for the licensure, maintaining and establishing trust account, fair housing risk reductions, office policy and procedure manuals, good record keeping, adequate supervision of their associates and more.
NEW CE Elective Course: Perfecting Negotiations- 4hrs
Step into the realm of ‘Perfecting Negotiations’ and arm yourself with elite negotiation skills crucial for today’s real estate professionals. Over a comprehensive 4-hour elective course, endorsed by the SC Real Estate Commission for Continuing Education, you’ll delve deep into the intricacies of effective negotiation. By mastering these skills, you will uphold your fiduciary duties with elevated integrity and fortify consumer protection, ensuring their interests are always front and center. Beyond the deal table, witness a transformation in your communication skills, enhancing clarity, understanding, and mutual respect in all your professional interactions. Don’t Be Adden-DUMB- 4hrs
An AMAZING four hour elective course written to cover those addendums that are not often explained. Addendums covered includes the Beachfront Management Act, FHA/VA Addendum, Vacation Rental Act and Contingencies with a Kickout Clause. In addition to the explanation and purpose of these addendums, we will cover FHA, VA, and USDA loans. This course is not a basic course about loans, we dive into what makes them different and what consumer benefits from each type of loan. This is the course you’ve been looking for!
Contracts- 4hrs
The 4-hour contracts course will assist agents in the understanding and practicality of writing and explaining the eight-page contract. Agents will also learn which disclosures are required by law and which disclosures are optional. Due to the new License Law Reform Act, this course has been designed to help the Real Estate Industry understand the changes that have been approved through new legislation. This course will cover topics such as new CE requirements, Transaction Brokerage, Advanced Licensing and much more. After attending this course you will not be confused on your future mandatory requirements. The majority of these new laws were recently established in 2024.
Ethics- 2.5 hrs
LLR & NAR approved
This 2.5-hour Ethics continuing education course for real estate agents is designed to fulfill both the South Carolina Real Estate Commission’s CE requirements and the National Association of Realtors (NAR) mandatory Ethics training. All Realtors must complete 2.5 hours of Ethics training every three years. Our comprehensive course will guide agents through key ethical standards, including the NAR Code of Ethics, ethical decision-making, and handling conflicts in real estate transactions. By completing this course, Realtors will ensure they meet both state and national ethics requirements while reinforcing their commitment to professionalism and integrity in the industry.
Fair Housing- 2 hrs
LLR & NAR approved
This 2-hour Fair Housing continuing education course for real estate agents provides an in-depth understanding of the Fair Housing Act and its critical role in the real estate profession. The course covers the history, key provisions, and protected classes under the Act, with a focus on how to identify and prevent discriminatory practices in real estate transactions. Agents will learn how to promote fair and equitable treatment for all clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state fair housing laws, while fostering diversity and inclusion within their business practices.
Building Buyer Agency Value- 4 hrs
In the evolving landscape of real estate, the importance of a buyer’s agent has never been more pronounced. This course delves into the implications of the NAR settlement and how it reshapes the buyer-agent relationship. Participants will receive a detailed blueprint for crafting compelling buyer agency presentations that not only clarify the role of the agent but also demonstrate the tangible value agents bring to the transaction process.
