Jennifer Nicely CEO/BIC/Instructor/CDEI/GSI

Jennifer Nicely is a nationally recognized real estate educator, keynote speaker, TV co-host, and author whose career in real estate began in 2004. As the Owner and CEO of Pinnacle Real Estate Academy, she has trained and mentored thousands of real estate professionals across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Known for her engaging teaching style and industry expertise, Jennifer designs and delivers high-impact courses ranging from pre-licensing to broker, property management, and continuing education programs.

Holding real estate licenses in multiple states, Jennifer also serves in influential leadership roles within the real estate industry. She is the current President of the Real Estate Educators Association, a dedicated member of the Sea Haven Board of Directors since 2014, and an active participant in numerous committees, including the SC Real Estate Commission’s Education Taskforce and Continuing Education Committee, the South Carolina Realtors Association’s Grievance and Professional Standards Committees, and as State Liaison for the Women’s Council of Realtors. As the founding President of South Carolina’s first Women’s Council of Realtors Network—WCR Grand Strand—she led the chapter to become one of the largest in the country.

Her leadership and service have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2022 Realtor Image Award, 2022 Real Estate Educators Association President’s Award, 2023 WCR Grand Strand Leader of the Year Award, 2023 REEA Community Service Award, and 2023 REEA Member of the Year Award. Under her guidance, Pinnacle Real Estate Academy has been voted Best Vocational/Real Estate School in the Grand Strand for 11 consecutive years and voted the Best Vocational School in South Carolina. She also founded the National Real Estate Educator’s Library, a first-of-its-kind resource for real estate educators nationwide.

Beyond the classroom, Jennifer is a sought-after public speaker and event facilitator, with speaking credits at national conferences, leadership trainings, and industry panels. She also co-hosts Getting Real with Real Estate, Myrtle Beach’s #1 independent TV real estate show. Her passion extends into community service, organizing annual Thanksgiving meal drives, school supply donations, and supporting local nonprofit initiatives.

Jennifer’s mission is simple but powerful—to educate, motivate, and empower the next generation of real estate leaders. Whether she’s in the classroom, on stage, or in front of the camera, her goal remains the same: to inspire others to reach their full potential.

Chris Kavanagh Director of Education/Instructor/REALTOR

As a real estate professional and company trainer/coach, Chris serves as an agent for single-family homes and condos all along the Grand-Strand with a primary focus in Horry County. His goal is helping clients maximize their real estate ventures.
 
Chris moved to Myrtle Beach from Rockland County, N.Y. in 2005. Anyone that knows him recognizes he is a huge animal lover, especially dogs. He received his South Carolina real estate license in the summer of 2011.
 
Additionally, he is a graduate of Leadership Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors and graduate of Leadership Grand Strand, both nine-month programs that develops a corps of informed, committed, and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic leadership for the Grand Strand area. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the South Carolina Association of Realtors.

Melissa Urso Instructor/GSI/SC & NC Broker

Melissa Urso moved to Myrtle Beach with her family in 2007. She is fluent in both English and Italian, which she has taught at the High School and College level for over 20 years. In addition to teaching languages, Melissa has traveled extensively throughout the world and enjoys experiencing other cultures firsthand. 
 
Melissa’s passion for Real Estate began in 2008 when she became a licensed agent. Melissa has always been interested in the world of real estate and knew that is was where her future would be. In 2017, Melissa obtained her Broker-In-Charge license with Pinnacle Real Estate Academy. Her dedication to her clients’ needs combined with her knowledge of the market make it easy for clients to buy and sell their home quickly. Melissa is grateful for all the opportunities that have come her way throughout the years-from being a Florida licensed agent, South Carolina licensed agent and now most recently a North Carolina licensed agent.

Rich Christenbury Instructor/GSI/REALTOR

Rich moved to the eastern South Carolina area in 1991 and earned his real estate license in 2004. Rich has 20 plus years of experience in medical sales, and real estate sales. He has worked as both a real estate agent and broker in charge and is currently a full-time broker in the North Myrtle Beach area. Rich enjoys helping buyers/sellers navigate the real estate sales process. As an Instructor, Rich looks forward to helping students learn the fundamentals of the real estate process and imparting his sales experience to new South Carolina real estate professionals.

Beth Williamson Instructor/REALTOR

Beth Williamson, a seasoned Realtor® and Broker with 23 years of experience in South Carolina’s real estate industry, has built an impressive career marked by early achievements and continuous professional growth. Starting her journey at Century 21 Bratcher in Conway, Beth swiftly earned her Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Graduate of Realtor® Institute (GRI) designations, followed by many more. She is passionate about education and professionalism in real estate, serving on the Professional Education Advisory Group with the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors and as Membership Director on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Council of Realtors Grand Strand. Beth also co-leads a WCR Mastermind group for small brokerages and is on the brink of earning the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation.

In addition to her educational and professional contributions, Beth has a 15-year business partnership with Sammie Jo Lewis, forming the Core 1st Realty Group in Aynor. Her commitment to education recently led her to the REEA Conference in Las Vegas, where she earned the Gold Standard Instructor (GSI) designation. Beth is dedicated to providing a strong educational foundation for Pinnacle Real Estate Academy students.

Balancing her professional life with a rich family life, Beth describes her husband as the funniest and sweetest man, with whom she shares two sons, daughters-in-law, and two dogs. They enjoy boating and traveling together. A writer as well, Beth’s book, “I Just Want to Pee Off the Porch,” which captures her experiences as a rural Realtor®, is set to be released in the coming months.

Mary Childress Instructor/REALTOR

With nearly 18 years as a full-time REALTOR® and more than three decades as a Conway resident, Mary Childress has built her business on relationships while earning the trust of clients and colleagues who appreciate her clear communication, professionalism, and steady guidance through every step of the real estate process.

An active member of the Association of REALTORS®, Mary serves on multiple committees at both the local and state levels that promote professionalism, education, and ethics. She is passionate about promoting and protecting property rights and feels strongly about the importance of collaboration and mentoring. Mary believes that raising the bar for the industry begins with sharing knowledge and supporting one another.

Mary has called Conway home since 1990. She and her husband Bryan, a local firefighter, raised their two children here and now share their home with two spoiled pups, Samson and Winnie. When she’s not working with clients or fellow REALTORS®, Mary enjoys exploring her community, spending time with family, and giving back to the place that has shaped her life in so many meaningful ways.

Jason Whedon Director of Expansion/Instructor/REALTOR

Jason possesses an extensive array of leadership and instructional abilities honed over years of experience across diverse industries. Graduating from Ferris State University in 1999, he commenced his professional journey in capital equipment and technology sales, cost accounting, and process development, contributing to the printing industry for over 15 years. Eventually, he joined a select team of specialists supporting the United States market for the global company Fujifilm.

In 2009, with the support of his wife Mandy and their four children, Eliza, Ashton, Spencer, and Myles, Jason made the decision to relocate from Michigan to the Myrtle Beach area, driven by a family-centered FAITH. Embracing this new chapter, he transitioned to the City of North Myrtle Beach Fire Department, swiftly showcasing his leadership and composure. Always dedicated to teamwork and nurturing others, he actively contributed to various departmental initiatives, including the Policy Committee, and served as a member of the Instructor cadre.

With a keen entrepreneurial spirit, Jason noticed a gap in the market concerning absentee property owners along the Grand Strand. Determined to provide a solution, he founded Carolina Shores Home Watch, fostering genuine connections with clients that transcended business relationships. Recognizing the potential to further assist clients in real estate endeavors, Jason obtained his Real Estate License in 2018.

Over the past five years, Jason has cultivated a loyal client base, guiding individuals in achieving their real estate aspirations along the Grand Strand. Leveraging his corporate background and real estate acumen, he has also supported various institutions in fulfilling their equity growth objectives in the Myrtle Beach segment.  Active with various organizations and committees in the area including – Community Outreach and the CCAR Educational Advisory to name a few.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Jason’s devotion to his faith and family which he praises to be his cornerstones. Actively involved in his children’s community engagements and having previously fostered a child, he is committed to mentoring children as they navigate their career paths and emerge as leaders. Through his actions and teachings, Jason embodies the essence of an instructor, both in life and in real estate.

Dan Disano Director of Marketing

Dan is a proud life-long resident of the Carolina Coast. With his family’s business background, Dan knew early on that marketing and business would be his career paths. In college at East Carolina University, Dan held leadership and marketing positions with the Student Government Association while organizing recruitment programs for prospective students.

After graduating from ECU in 2019, he moved back to Calabash, NC on the Carolina border and held multiple positions within the Brunswick County government before becoming a marketing assistant with the Brunswick County Tourism Development Authority.

Having recently received his North Carolina real estate license, Dan was excited to merge his interests in marketing and real estate by joining the Pinnacle team as the Director of Marketing. Dan also really enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with his friends and family.

Jeanette Burt Head of Finances

Jeanette brings over 30 years of diverse accounting experience to Pinnacle Real Estate Academy. Originally from Saratoga Springs, NY, Jeanette moved to South Carolina and has since held key accounting positions in Assisted Living, Non-Profit Organizations, and the Clerk of Court in Moncks Corner, SC. She has also successfully managed her own business in Myrtle Beach and holds a South Carolina Real Estate License.
Jeanette enjoys spending quality time with her three children, three grandchildren, and her beloved dog Jemmah, an Italian Mastiff mix. She loves going to the beach, exploring the mountains, and having lunch with friends. Fun fact: Jeanette is an identical twin!

Victoria Green Administrative/Marketing Assistant/SC Referral Agent

Victoria Green is a lifelong Myrtle Beach native who combines creativity, organization, and a passion for systems in her role as Marketing and Administrative Assistant at Pinnacle Real Estate Academy. She plays a key role in supporting both students and staff. Managing projects for leadership, streamlining internal processes, and creating marketing materials that are both professional and approachable. Her work includes helping to build and maintain websites, designing branded graphics, editing video content, and strengthening the school’s digital presence.

Raised around Realtors, Victoria developed a natural interest in real estate from an early age. In 2022, she began her own real estate education at Pinnacle, gaining valuable firsthand insight into the student experience she now works to enhance. She is especially focused on implementing automation and workflows that improve efficiency for both staff and students, allowing the team to work more effectively and helping students move through registration and licensure with confidence and ease.

Whether refining a system, helping to launch a new campaign, or assisting a student one-on-one, Victoria brings thoughtfulness, efficiency, and a solutions-driven mindset to every project—always with the goal of making each interaction smooth and supportive.

Whitney Boyd-Middleton Office Administrator

Whitney Boyd-Middleton began her real estate journey in 2018 with Pinnacle and has been a licensed real estate agent ever since. With a passion for helping others, she now applies her industry expertise as the Office Administrator at Pinnacle Real Estate Academy. Known for her warm personality, strong work ethic and exceptional organizational skills, Whitney is committed to making the real estate sales process and education experience smooth and rewarding for everyone she works with.

Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Whitney and her family made the exciting move to Myrtle Beach in 2018. While supporting real estate education is her professional focus, faith and family are at the heart of everything she does. She met her husband, Brody, in 2013, and together they have a daughter, Berkleigh, who is a dedicated member of a competitive dance team. The family also includes three beloved dogs who keep life lively at home. Whitney also enjoys relaxing by the pool with a good book, supporting her daughter as a proud dance mom, and spending quality time with loved ones.
